"Keys for Success at Work"
According to this passage, when employers choose their workers, they want to find the person who has six types of job skills. The
first skill is communication skills. Many companies want people who can communicate well with other people such as customers. The
second skill is leadership skills. Many employers are interested in people who are good at leading other people. This means they
require their employees aren’t frightened about making independent decisions. The third skill is maturity. Companies want people
who take responsibility for their behavior, and do not become embarrassed in difficult situations. The fourth skill is problem-solving
skills. Companies want people who can overcome problems. For example, when they are faced with problems, they know what the
problem is and make a plan about how to resolve that. The fifth skill is commitment. This means employees should be hard at work
for their company’s goals. Last skill is informational skills. Employees have to know how to use a computer like searching and send
e-mails. We call these skills “People skills” and these are very important elements for our future.
