This article explains the misunderstanding about small talk. There is cultural gap in understanding the small talk. For example,
when people say “How are you?”, they don’t expect an answer. That is not a real question. Just they say hello to others. Also, “Let’s keep
in touch,” or “Let’s talk soon” are not promises to meet soon. All of these are just typical ways of closing a conversation. When people
ask a real question, they make eye contact and wait to hear your answer. Therefore, the main idea of this article is we should
understand the purpose of their words. We try to recognize the real meaning behind people's words not the surface of their words.
